School Show and a Boring Bento
R's school put on an anniversary show on Sunday. I missed it--I've been sick since Saturday and I'm hoping it's not the strep that's going around school. It feels like it might be. I'm going to get a culture today. The kids had to wear white shirts and jeans and accessorize "from the 50's, 60's, 70's, or 80's." I found that to be so confusing and overwhelming in my weakened state that I just put a red bow in her hair. D took this picture of them waiting in the gym before it began. I can see that some of the other moms went with multi-purpose, multi-decade bandanas. She has the cutest and sweetest kids in her first grade class. They make it fun to volunteer at school.
It's too dark and cold in the morning to take photos outside these days, and the lighting in the dining room is not very good. No sick days when you have kids--no such thing as burying your head under the covers when your husband leaves for work at 5:30 a.m. I'm proud that I made lunch at all.
